Welcome — I’m glad you’re here.
The heart of my work rests on a simple idea: Healing often begins by learning to listen our bodies with curiosity and respect.
I’ve spent many years listening— to people’s stories, patterns of stress and coping, and the quieter signals of the body. Over time, my curiosity deepened about how our internal signals shape how we feel, relate, and heal. This work grows from the belief that our bodies are not broken—they’re doing their best to protect us and guide us back toward connection and well-being.
With over thirty years of experience in mental health, trauma, and addiction treatment, I have been guided by a simple question: What fosters lasting change? Time and again, I realized that insight alone is often insufficient. People understand their struggles intellectually, yet still find themselves trapped in cycles of stress or disconnection.
Discovering Interoception
My curiosity led me to Interoception—the sense that helps us perceive and interpret signals from within the body. Today, my work focuses on translating interoceptive science into practical, accessible approaches that support emotional well-being and resilience in daily life.
My upcoming book, Listening In: How Interoception Can Improve Your Mental and Emotional Health (North Atlantic Books, 2026), explores how learning to listen inwardly can support regulation, connection, and lasting change.
